Picture overload!

This is absolutely picture overload, and I could have put them in a slide show, but I haven't had the time. We had such a great week this week! The weather has been awesome. So Sunday, after church and a Kayleigh nap, we took the girls to the park for a McDonalds picnic (yuck, I know, but it was easy). Here is a picture of Kayleigh eating her "puffs" (baby snacky food) on our picnic blanket. Notice her adorable little shoes! Still hard to keep shoes on Sierra, let alone Kayleigh who is fascinated by and curious about them. Kayleigh has such a sweet smile and personality. Sierra and her are so different, yet alike in many ways as well. Kayleigh is very independent and adventurous while Sierra is a little more reserved (in the adventure area) but much louder than her little sister. Kayleigh looked exactly like Sierra did as a baby up until a few months ago. Kayleigh is definitely looking different now. We see more of Ryan's baby/child likeness in Sierra and Kayleigh is starting to look a little more like my baby pics.

Sierra and Daddy ate at the table so Kayleigh wouldn't steal their food! They are so cute together!

Sierra stuffs her mouth so full you think she's going to explode! I have no idea why she does this. We keep trying to get her to slow down and CHEW, but oh well. Here she was just trying to eat everything Daddy said she had to before she could get her toy. We never get happy meals, we leave that specialty to Grandma and Grandpa, but we got one yesterday for convenience reasons (I didn't bring her a drink of her own).

And here she is with the toy. Man, she was a little disappointed. That toy was really lame, like most Happy Meal toys; but this one was just a big over sized plastic bug that kinda squeaks when you press his tummy, but Sierra can't even press it that hard! Oh well, she ate a good lunch!

Sierra saw some big kids on the circa 1970 slide (wow Michelle, that is like an antique, huh?). She really wanted to try it out, and got about half way up the ladder with Daddy, then she chickened out. I would have too if I was all of about 2 1/2 feet tall.

Kayleigh is more adventurous. She was walking and falling all over the place but it didn't' phase her. Ryan said the ceder chips wouldn't give her splinters, so that took away some of my worries, until she tried to eat the ceder chips, now I know THAT isn't right! Her favorite thing was the slide though, and she wanted more, more MORE of that after Ryan helped her down it.

Sierra was so cautious. This "bridge" didn't even move, but she walked very very very slowly, holding on the the side rail the whole way. After awhile she did start to just walk across it, but it took going over a few times to feel that comfortable.

I'm bummed Sierra isn't looking at the camera in this picture. I finally get someone to take a picture of me with the girls, and she doesn't look at the camera! That kinda worries me about getting family pictures taken in June! We opted for the longer session because we figured it might take the photographer that long to get enough good pictures of Sierra, hopefully smiling. We are going to have the guy who did our wedding photos do our family photos and the shoot will probably be on the OSU campus, how fun! OSU is beautiful in the spring! We will let you all know when it happens and definitely post all the pics when we get them back!

Ryan and Kayleigh! What a good dad he is. Sierra wouldn't even sit still to get a photo with him. Man, I hope the photographer is good at shooting moving targets (subjects).

This picture is at home (obviously). Sierra was outside and Kayleigh inside and Sierra said "Kayleigh! Let's do hand prints!" She stuck her hand up to the screen and Kayleigh did the same. I thought it was so cute! When she says Kayleigh it sounds like "Kay-wee". Also too cute!

Not a whole lot else going on. We have a short week and are then off the the Astoria Seafood and Wine festival. It will be so much fun hanging out with all our friends. And the festival is kid-friendly so Sierra will have fun. Kayleigh probably not so much! But Sierra loves crab and there is a big crab feed so she will be so happy! And we get to go in the motor home with Grandma and Grandpa, so she will love that as well! Seems everything we do always falls on a weekend when something else is happening as well though. This weekend there is a parenting seminar at church we really wanted to go to. It is about "Effective parenting in a defective world". Oh well, we will just have to read someones notes! Ryan really wanted to go on the Men's retreat this year too, but nope, we will be in Sunriver with Gma Gpa and Marilyn and Bob that weekend. Hahaha! You would think we are crazy busy or something....kinda. We do have a few weekends to chill at home before June 19, the magical day we get to go on vacation!!! It will come so quickly though because we have stuff to do almost every weekend till then, just lucky some of it is at home. Like Kayleigh's birthday party on the 2nd (her actual birthday is May 1 though). We are doing that here. We can't believe she is almost a year old! Yikes!
